Entero Systems successfully delivered its first-ever project in Manipur, a Flap Barrier access control system integrated with AI-based facial recognition, at the Defence HQ Club, Imphal, in partnership with Swastik Sales and Services. The installation marks a milestone for Entero's expansion into the Northeast region and reflects growing demand for intelligent, contactless entry management systems at sensitive government and defence facilities.
Manipur has, in recent times, been navigating a complex and sensitive security situation, marked by protests over security-related detentions, tensions between the Kuki-Zo and Naga communities, and the continuation of the long-standing Meitei–Kuki-Zo conflict. Given this environment, many vendors were reluctant to take on installation work in the region, making it difficult to find a partner willing to execute a security infrastructure project on the ground in Imphal.
Entero Systems stepped in where other vendors hesitated, deploying its Flap Barrier Turnstiles integrated with AI Face Recognition, combining automated sliding-glass flap barriers with facial biometric authentication. Authorized personnel are identified and granted entry in real time through AI-driven facial matching, removing the need for physical access cards or manual verification while maintaining strict access control.
The project was executed under the leadership of Entero's Project Engineer, Mr. Bhagirathi, whose on-ground coordination was critical given the on-the-ground conditions in Imphal. Remarkably, the entire project, from requirement gathering to field installation and commissioning, was completed in just one month, despite the added complexity of operating in the region for the first time. Close collaboration with Swastik Sales and Services and on-site stakeholders at the Defence HQ Club ensured the timeline was met without compromising on security standards.
The Defence HQ Club, Imphal, now operates with a modern, AI-enabled entry management system, delivered in a one-month turnaround, in a region where security and logistical challenges had made other vendors unwilling to commit. This successful rollout establishes Entero's operational capability in Manipur, at a time when few security vendors were prepared to work there, and opens the door to further deployments across the Northeast.
This project underscores not just Entero's technical capability, but its willingness and readiness to operate in demanding, high-stakes environments where other vendors stepped back, delivering advanced, integrated security solutions for high-security government and defence establishments across India.
